Michelle is a young professional living in northern New Jersey with her boyfriend. She’s currently an Apple Specialist at the upcoming Willowbrook Store, and hoping to attend grad. school for Media Studies starting in the January 2009. She loves video editing and is the editor for the web-series Issues due to premier online in fall 2008.
Although being a computer and entertainment geek might not make you think green, Michelle is passionate about environmental protection and sustainable existence. This led her to create Global Green. Michelle, oddly, dislikes television and the movies, but is almost surgically attached to her computer, iPod, or cell phone at any given moment. Her alter ego, Kassidy, can be found in any of the online worlds created by Artix Entertainment. Michelle hopes one day to create documentaries highlighting environmentally friendly groups and projects.
Currently, Michelle is exercising her editing skills for a production of Thorton Wilder’s The Skin of Our Teeth. The show demands slides and stills to open it’s first and second acts, and Michelle will be collecting those images and stills into a video reel that can be projected into screens and scrims on the stage. Working with video in a theater setting is especially challenging because your work needs to be able to interact with something happening live. Issues to timing and size are probably the biggest challenges Michelle faces in this project.
So, Michelle likes to keep busy. Very busy. Although she is perfectly able to appreciate a Saturday spent watching television and playing computer games, she is unable to sustain such a lifestyle for more than a week. Hence, she has filled her time with her passions: Editing, Apple computers, video, and environmentalism.
